If you are on the hunt for a Laguna Beach lingerie boutique that feels like a hidden gem, I have one for you. It is one of those places you would probably never find unless someone told you about it.
Let me (lead photographer and owner at OC Boudoir, Amy 👋) introduce you to I.C. London in Laguna Beach.
This boutique has been around for over 40 years, and you can feel that the second you walk in. It is small, tucked away off the main roads, and very much an old school shopping experience. This is not the kind of place where you quietly browse racks on your own. You are going to be greeted, helped, styled, and probably chatting the entire time. That is part of the charm and shopping experience.
Now let’s just address the obvious. This place is not cheap. Like at all. But dude, the quality, it is chef’s kiss amazing. You can immediately tell these pieces are not fast fashion. The fabrics, the structure, the way everything is made, it is on a completely different level than what you will find in most stores.
One of the biggest things that stood out to me, especially as a boudoir photographer, is that they do custom bra fittings. And not the kind where you are shoved into a generic size and sent on your way. They carry a wide range of sizes and actually help you mix and match pieces to create the right fit for your body.
I was able to find sizes in the DDD to even F range that fit beautifully, and not just on one person. Multiple clients which is a huge win for me. If you have ever struggled to find lingerie that actually supports you and still looks stunning, you already know how rare that is.
This is exactly why I am always telling my clients that fit matters just as much as style when it comes to a boudoir session. The right fit changes everything. It changes how you stand, how you move, how confident you feel, and ultimately how your images turn out.
When I was there, I ended up picking up a few pieces for my client closet, and I am not exaggerating when I say I was obsessed. At one point, Elizabeth, the owner, even took me into her back room to show me her clearance pieces. I felt like I had unlocked some kind of VIP level, and I was living for it.
Speaking of Elizabeth, I know the online reviews are a bit mixed, so I want to be really transparent about my experience. I personally had no issues at all. I thought she was knowledgeable, direct, and incredibly helpful. Her assistant Joan was also amazing and made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable.
But just a heads up, this shop definitely does things a little differently. It is old school. My receipt was handwritten, and the tags were removed at checkout, which caught me off guard. When I got home, I realized I could not double check pricing on a couple of my clearance pieces, which did make me pause for a second so IÂ called the store, and they explained that removing tags is part of how they track inventory. Again, very old school. While I do think there are a few small things that could bring the experience a bit more into the modern world, it did not take away from the overall quality or the pieces I walked away with.
So who is this Laguna Beach lingerie boutique really for?
This is for the woman who values quality over convenience. The woman who wants pieces that actually fit her body, not just something labeled small, medium, or large. It is for someone who is open to a more personal, guided shopping experience and is willing to invest in pieces that will last.
It is probably not for someone who wants to run in, grab something quickly, and leave without interaction and that is okay! Not every store needs to be everything to everyone.
